Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These terms are the rules for using Thru. Please read them; they're short and in plain English.
Agreeing to these terms
Thru is operated by GETTHRU TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (RC 9955935), Abuja, Nigeria. By creating an account or using Thru, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy and our Community Rules. If you don't agree, please don't use Thru.
Who can use Thru
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Thru.
- You must be 18 or over to use nightlife features and see nightlife content.
- You must give us true information when you sign up.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and everything that happens on it. Keep your password safe and don't share your account. If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and tell us straight away.
Your content
- You own what you post on Thru: your reviews, photos, videos and comments.
- By posting, you give Thru a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show your content in the app and to use it to promote Thru. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already shared it or we need to keep it for legal reasons.
- Only post honest reviews of real experiences. Fake, paid or incentivised reviews are not allowed.
- You're responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it.
Restaurants and venues
- Restaurants and venues are responsible for their own information, bookings and replies.
- When you make a booking, the agreement is between you and the restaurant or venue. Thru isn't a party to the booking.
- Restaurants and venues can't have honest reviews removed. They can reply to a review or report it if they think it breaks our Community Rules.
When we can remove content or accounts
We can remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these terms or our Community Rules, or that put other people at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
No warranty
We work hard to keep Thru running well, but we provide it "as is". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that information posted by others (including restaurants) is accurate.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Thru isn't responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by restaurants, venues or other users. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria will deal with any dispute.
